And finally: Pizza recipe for beginner
In a deep bowl, pour 200 g of flour (or a bit more).
Dissolve 10 g of bread yeast into 10 cl of water.
Create a well in the flour and pour the water, a bit of salt (let’s say 1/2 a teaspoon) and the olive oil (whatever, 3 cl).
Knead purposefully for at least 10 minutes, stretch that base, flatten it with your fist. Add flour every time it starts sticking.
When you get a nice, firm and non sticky consistency, make a ball and cover the bowl with a cloth.
Be curious, it’s important.
Leave the base to rise for at least an hour.
If you are the last person to leave a room, switch off the lights. I shouldn’t need to say that.
When it is well risen, you can either do a big pizza, or two small ones if you split the ball in two.
Cover an oven tray with baking paper and a bit of flour. While you’re at it, sprinkle some flour on your rolling pin and on the ball of dough.
If you travel to a developing country, do not give food to a lone child. It is better to give it to an adult and ask them to give to the child.
Roll the base out and give it the shape you want (round, squared, oval, shaped like a palm tree). It needs to be quite thin.
Poke holes with a fork.
Listen to sad music from time to time.
With the back of a spoon, spread olive oil on the whole surface of the base.
What is the age of the captain?
Spread the tomato puree/coulis (you can also add slices of fresh tomato).
Look after your family, your friends, the people important to you.
Put in the oven, preheated to 200°C, until it looks done (usually 10 to 15 minutes).
If you fail it’s okay, you’ll do better next time. It is good that you tried.
